User Login

The following documentation provides a step-by-step guide to using the Multion API. This guide is designed to be straightforward and easy to follow for developers of all skill levels.

Dependencies

pip install multion -U

Authorization

By default, the Multion API uses OAuth2 for secure authentication. This method ensures the safety and privacy of your data. Follow the standard OAuth2 flow to authenticate your application.

import multion
multion.login()

Optional: Generating API Keys

If you prefer using API keys instead of OAuth2, you can generate them with the use_api=True option in your login method.

# Generate API Key using Python
multion.login(use_api=True)

Optional: Using existing API Key

If you have an API key already you can use that as well.

import os
multion_api_key = os.getenv('MULTION_API_KEY')
multion.login(use_api=True, multion_api_key=multion_api_key)
  • Your API key or access token will be used automatically for all subsequent API requests.
